Which German university is the best?
In Germany, there is no such thing as the “top university,” not in any particular field and certainly not in all fields.
Germany provides a multidimensional ranking that takes into account many factors that are significant from a student’s point of view. For instance, opinions from students and staff regarding the caliber of the instruction, the university’s culture, the library, other facilities, the number of students enrolled, the average length of their studies, the number of graduates, outside funding, etc. By doing so, you can see clearly the advantages and disadvantages of each university listed on www.university-ranking.de. You can select criteria and determine university ranking based on your own preferences. A well-known tool for this purpose is CHE ranking. In the video above, I explain how to check the ranking in detail. Not all top universities will have equivalent departments and courses. Furthermore, your next career steps will influence your university selection; for example, if you want to pursue doctoral studies, choose technical universities. Hands-on training provided by universities of applied sciences, on the other hand, is better for a career in industry.
